End Poverty Now at: University of Guelph

As young students majoring in International Development at the University of Guelph, we were itching to get more out of our studies. Sitting in a classroom and learning about development is great, but we wanted to become active participants in the evolving world of development. Hence, in the spring of 2011 Guelph’s EPN chapter was founded. We are now an accredited club working in partnership with other organizations at the University of Guelph, while at the same time setting our own path and ensuring Guelph EPN becomes a lasting force within the Guelph community.

By dedicating our efforts towards fundraising initiatives, local volunteering, and facilitating educational events in spreading awareness about domestic and international incidences of poverty, Guelph EPN is steadily growing and making its mark. As a recently formed chapter our dedication and drive has warranted a growing membership of devoted members from all walks of life who have come together in their belief that no one should have to live in chronic poverty.

For more information check our Facebook page: facebook.com/EndPovertyNowGuelphChapter. This is an interactive forum for all members to voice their opinions/ideas regarding anything EPN-related. Since we are also an accredited club, additional information can be found on the University of Guelph Clubs website. EPN is open to all members of the university as well as the larger Guelph community.
