Education Sponsorship Initiative
Canadian Schools Partnering with Those Abroad
End Poverty Now believes that one of the most effective tools to empower the next generation is through the gift of education. Annually, EPN strives to provide funding to help students around the globe meet their potential and bring themselves as well as their family out of poverty.
Your school can support a school initiative too!
We hope to partner with Canadian schools and schools abroad. Below is a list of ways in which you and your school can support and contribute to a school located elsewhere in the world.
End Poverty Now is in collaboration with the Las Marias school in Nicaragua, the RADHA children’s home in Northern India, the Emmanuel centre in Tanzania, a choir in Bosnia through the Basset Music school, and schools throughout the Philippines through the International Association for Transformation. These projects, in addition to an ever-growing list, are in need of school supplies, classroom materials and many more.
Please email Japneet at internal@endpovertynow.ca for more information.

Donate funds for needed materials!
Book drives and other similar events are also strong possibilities. It is better, however, to send funds (we will provide receipts) as more can be put towards the purchase of materials as opposed to transportation costs and local businesses will be supported through your purchase. Ideas in this: School bags, Pencils, Pens, Desks, Computers, Books, and many others. -
Establish a penpal program with students abroad.
Connect with students overseas through writing and mailing letters. Email Japneet for more information and EPN will partner your school with one abroad (to your recommendations). This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about global issues, while establishing international connections. -
Combine your support with End Poverty Now’s Curriculum
Incorporate fundraising for an educational initiative through End Poverty Now or writing pen pal letters into your curriculum. Both of these will make fun and positive contributions to the curriculum, allowing the students to put the lessons into action.
