Means to an End is an annually published academic journal authored by submissions from university students, professors and academics from around the world. It serves as a forum for rigorous inquiry into the multi-faceted nature of poverty and poverty alleviation.

EPN is pleased to announce that we are currently accepting applications for the next issue of Means to an End, scheduled for publication in the fall of 2010. This year’s journal will focus on the theme of health and poverty.

Submissions relating to this topic from a variety of perspectives are encouraged.

Submissions must be academic in nature and well-researched. Articles describing original research are welcome.  Manuscripts should follow the most recent APA guidelines and be between 4000 – 5000 words in length, including the abstract. Please submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF format to the Editor’s attention at journal@endpovertynow.ca by March 20th, 2010.

Become Involved With Our Academic Journal:

We are also looking for graduate students to assist the editor-in-chief as members of the editorial peer review board. Peer reviewers would work alongside the editor to choose and edit submissions as well a format the journal. Applicants should have excellent writing and editing skills. Bilingualism is an asset.
